Ok not saying I totally endorse either what your trying to say or what Bush is doing or has done, however; I dont think it is such a biblical leap to think that either a leader of a God fearing nation would be told by God to wage war on another country or that Christ would completely rebuke war of any kind.
Here is an example of God giving the command to King Saul, through Samuel, to completely destroy the Amalekites. I Sam 15:17-31
In this example Saul was severly punished for not following God's command to completely destroy the Amalekites.
If you dont like the tradition of the OT how about this example of from Paul in Romans 13 wherein Paul states that complete authority is given by God to the governments including authority to use the "sword" as means of "wrath" if necessary. It is important to note that Paul then follows this statement up with the pea for personal responsibility in the areas of love and peace.
Another example is in Revelation 19:11-13 whereas Christ himself sees to bring about justice through war.
All this to say that God wants us to promote love, peace, justice, compassion, etc. to the world. He is however a reasonable God and understands His creation. Sometimes battles whether physical or spiritual cannot be won by letting people beat the crap out of you... for lack of a better phrase
